Pink Sunset's.

Ahh the wind here is so awful, I cant go in my yard I might get blown away(AUNTIE EM). So I decided to think of something beautiful, that I really love(FAMILY of course) and my dear Aunt Norma came to mind, she passed away about 10 year's ago,she was the life of the party, she alway's treated me as if I was one of her own children. We would go to her home on Sunday's which was about a 2 hour drive from our home, she lived on a cattle ranch, it was alway's so neat to me,she had an old pioneer covered wagon and I ,my cousin Gina,& Diane would play for hour's on end. My Aunt made the best chilie I have ever tasted. She loved pink, she insisted her girl's wear red on her funeral, they all did,and she told all of us not to stand at the graveside and mourn............we did, then the wind kicked up and it rained like crazy(WE HEAR YOU) so we all went to the church to have lunch,we all remembered her and laughed, it just seemed so ironic that it rained on all of us, if she had control that would have been something she would have done. That night the sky was a beautiful pink............it spread across the sky like an Arizona sunset(AMAZING). From then on I have alway's thought it was her saying hi. I get my strength from pink sunset's. I have alway's loved sunset's. So enough of my big spilllllllllllll............Have a wonderful day!!!

  1. I, too, have a favorite Aunt. In fact she is my only aunt. LOL LOL

But, if she wasn't, she would still be my favorite.

    Blessings,

    Jo

  3. Hi stopped by for a visit. You have a great blog. I was going to post on your menopause post but didn't know if you would see the older post comments. I think it is beginning to creep up on me too. Last year I had chronic pain from a herniated disk and I was hell to live with, on Saturday my husband had a kidney stone attack and guess what......it all evens out in the end! God help us all.
I have better relationships with my aunts than my own mother. hmmm

  9. There is nothing like an Arizona sunset. My grandma lived in Arizona, but has long since passed. Thank you for bringing such a sweet memory of her. Your aunt sounds like a wonderful person, how funny you got rained on! Blessings.
