Granted. 8-3-11

Today the Jugde granted us (my husband and I) guardianship of our grandchildren.
I was so overwhelmed that I started crying....the bailif handed me a tissue and smiled at me which only made it worse...like I have said it is so bitter sweet. As for the children, they are happy healthy (more than they ever have been) and are happy about being at grandma & grandpa's house.
Some have mentioned (what's best for the children) I guess the judge made that decision today!!!
God grant me the strength that I might raise these children according to his will (not mine but Thine will be done.)
I love all you dear sweet friend's. God bless you all. Love from Debbie:)

  1. God will grant you what you need,(strength, patience and understanding) just as he granted what was best for the children. I am glad that this is as He wishes and I know you will do your best by them.

  2. I don't know you Debbie but from the Tea Party... but I share your joy. If God granted you this blessing, He will certainly guide you :)

  3. I knew the judge would make the right decision! Children belong with a family member, and usually as long as the children have a positive family structure, that is a much better option than sending them into the foster care system.

I'm so happy for you Debbie!

  4. A bittersweet victory for sure. I've no doubt the children are in good hands. I do hope your daughter one day understands the depth of the gift of your love.
